They are built through everyday moments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It starts with simple things: saying &#8220;please&#8221; and &#8220;thank you&#8221;, listening when someone is speaking, taking care of their belongings, helping around the house, and treating other people with kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At home, children should understand that being part of a family comes with responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Putting away their toys. Helping with age-appropriate chores. Keeping their space tidy. Caring for things that belong to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These may seem like small tasks, but they teach an important lesson: everyone has a part to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That lesson extends beyond the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children should learn to respect teachers, neighbours, community workers, elderly people, and other children, regardless of their background or circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents also have an important role to play because children learn respect by watching how adults treat others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ephesians 6:2 reminds us: &#8220;Honour your father and mother.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Respect begins at home, but it should not end there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Final Thoughts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal is not simply to raise obedient children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is to raise children who understand why respect and responsibility matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every chore completed, every kind word spoken, and every responsibility accepted is helping to prepare them to become considerate and responsible members of their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teaching Respect and Responsibility at Home and in the Community.
